When Adidas Original decided to open its first store in Turkey, we set out with a big and original idea to create an extraordinary opening experience and share this enthusiasm with the masses. However, we were struggling to physically bring hundreds of people into the store, so we decided to develop a 360-degree live-streaming product that would bring the opening to everyone.
First of all, we created a large data set to realize this original idea. Then, knowing that the target audience is mostly mobile users, we placed digital icons in our stores to reach them on the go. So, as our potential customers passed through these areas, we collected their data.
In order to reach the target audience we identified from the data collected, we started sharing 360-degree live broadcast notifications a week before the opening. In this way, for the first time in the history of the world, people experienced the excitement of witnessing the store opening with a 360-degree live broadcast.
As a result, we reached 1,281,000 online users and 275,000 Adidas Original store opening live stream attendees, making it a grand opening with engagement from our participants.
