Monotype and Adobe MAX: A Type Lab Experience to Explore the Science of Fonts
WE WERE AT THE MONOTYPE STAND AT ADOBE MAX EVENT
During the Adobe Max event; We brought the idea of Type Lab to life at the Monotype booth, enabling participants to explore the science of fonts.
In the experience we developed for Monotype, we used Emotiv EEG devices that provide reliable data. We showed the participants who wrote their names on the interface in different fonts from the Monotype catalog and recorded the data of their emotions instantly.
At the end of the experience; We instantly visualized the feelings of excitement, relaxation, interest, stress, focus and connection that we recorded. At the end of the experience, we wrote their names in the font they were most emotionally attached to and gave them as printed gifts.
Hundreds of participants showed interest in our experience, which caused long queues throughout the event, for three days.
