National Archives of Qatar Building Inauguration
We prepared a new home for national memory through an inauguration experience from entrance to ceremony.

Brief
The National Archives of Qatar building inauguration marked a new address for an institution dedicated to preserving national memory. The building needed to be prepared for the official inauguration by Qatar’s Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The requirement extended beyond setting up an event space: the building had to become an inauguration environment, from the red-carpet entrance to the ceremony layout.
Insight
At a national institution’s opening, the building forms part of the narrative as well as the setting. Arrival, entrance design and the first encounter with institutional identity communicate meaning before the ceremony begins.
The entrance experience and interior applications therefore need a common ceremony language, giving the institution a consistent spatial presentation.
The Idea
We approached the project as a transformation preparing the building for its official inauguration. The red-carpet entrance, branding and event setup came together within a common design approach reflecting the significance of the archives.
The venue’s touchpoints were treated as connected parts of the same inauguration. Building and event identity were approached as one setting.
Execution
We designed, transformed and prepared the National Archives building for its inauguration. The red-carpet entrance experience, event setup, institutional branding and production elements were delivered together.
Spatial and visual applications prepared the building for its official opening. The scope from entrance to event setting was coordinated within a delivery suited to the inauguration’s national significance.
